June-July 2009 Report

Greetings from Ternopil Church of Christ! We are moving into the hottest time of the year here, this season with more than sufficient showers and light rains. Still the sun is also there, giving us a lot of joy here in west Ukraine. We are grateful to God for all of His blessings and glorify Him for His mercy.

As we planned before, our VBS teachers and their helpers (all in all 14 of them) are going for a retreat in the nearby recreation center. We are going to stay there for four days (July 13-17). Then on July 18, Taras, Dima, Oksana and Sophiya are going to attend the Christian singing conference for the churches of Christ from all over Ukraine and Russia in Donetsk. We are very happy to have such talented and reliable young people, who perform no less than four hymns and psalms at every Sunday worship. Last Sunday after the worship we had a wonderful picnic in a picturesque place near three small lakes, where young people had a nice fellowship with playing mini-football. They played it so enthusiastically that afterwards the ground looked as after the rodeo show with a dozen wild bulls.

We were so delighted to receive the two parcels with clothes and Christian literature from Jack and Joann and Sherla! We hope that tomorrow people who come to the Thursday prayer meeting will be as delighted to get the gifts from their American friends.
