2009 Preparation for VBS, Retreat

From July 13-16 the youth group traveled to Skomorokhy, in the Buchatskiy district of our region, to prepare material for the summer children's encampment (VBS).

It was a great blessing to have Joe Stephenson, a teacher from Abilene Christian University, join us on our retreat.

Each day we sang, and with the help of Joe, learned new parts for well-known songs, shared ideas for the organization of the VBS and discussed topics he presented.

We were all left with warm impressions of this short retreat, and we will seek further reasons to participate in such fellowship.
