September Report

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Greetings to you from Ternopil!

As you already know, we have finished all our renovation works in the big worship auditorium. It was done in the right time, because we are now having a cold and rainy spell, and we would not be able to conduct our worship in the 'summer hall' (garage).

Besides the money for repair works shown in the financial report, we have also used extra finances from the church donations: 4.500 Hrv on painting the walls and 3.000 on the flooring works. I see it as a good sign for our community. This year we have made more substantial donations than in the previous years, even when we had more people in the church. Division between the church and association has become a thing of the past. I think there is even a psalm about the joy the brothers have while dwelling in peace and being like-minded.

Last Sunday right after our worship meeting, we left for Chernivtsi with our youth group of eight people. Our young people loved being with the community which has more youth, louder singing, sincere zeal in the ministry and the good Church of Christ spirit. For already more than half a year they have been conducting their worship meetings in a new house of prayer having two floors and built on a special project. The building is located in the southern outskirts of the city Chernivtsi.

I know that a number of our US brothers and sisters are very much concerned about the events in Georgia, and the possible threat for Ukraine. From our history we know that Ukrainians have always been peaceful and purely defensive. We still believe that nobody will attack us, even Russia. We are all praying and asking our Lord for peace, wisdom for the leaders of our country that we may live peaceful and quiet lives and praise our living God.
